THE FISRT 24HRS

The first 24hrs will be the most crucial as the glue takes 24hrs to FULLY cure, Its important to be gentle with your lashes as you want to them last as long as possible.

For the first 24hrs you will need to avoid any water as this can cause the lashes to shock cure and cause them to fall out.

You will also need to avoid any spas/saunas/steam and avoid excessive sweating for at least 24 hrs.

AVOID OIL/MAKEUP

I know when we get a full glam lash set we want to doll ourselves up! Ensure all your makeup and skin care products are oil free, as some products that contain glycerin will make the lash adhesive break down prematurely overtime. Its important to also avoid mascaras as they can tangle & damage your extensions as well as your natural lashes.

PICKING AND PULLING

Its so important to not pick and pull at our extensions, it can be tempting to touch them but you can pull out your natural lashes when pulling at your extensions, this can serverly damage your natural lashes.

When touching and playing with our extensions it can also cause them to fall out prematurely due to the oils on our hands! The oils break down the adhesive over time resulting in not getting the highest longevity out of your extensions.

CLEANSING YOUR LASHES

After the first 24hrs its now safe to cleanse your eyelash extensions. Some people think cleansing your lashes make them fall out faster which is completely false. This is a very important step of aftercare to ensure you get the longevity out of your extensions.

Your lashes will shed at least 3-5 natural lashes a day so its normal to experience fall out daily, using FLBs foaming lash cleanser and cleansing brush, applying the foam to the lashes and use the brush to cleanse along the eyelid, getting in deep to wear the extension its applied as this is wear build up will happen!

Rinse with cold water and pat dry (DO NOT RUB) or use a lash extension fan, always brush your lashes when drying them as this will ensure they are fluffy. Not drying them or brushing them will cause them to dry stuck together.

SLEEPING ON YOUR FACE

The best way to avoid damaging your lashes is sleeping on your back, using a trifle pillow can help you avoid rolling over during the night. When our lash extensions touch the pillow, they can get caught and attached causing pulling, full out and irritation.

It is also a good idea to invest into a silk pillow cause, this will help avoid your extensions getting caught on the cotton, silk pillow cases also have many benefits for your skin and hair!

A silk sleep mask may also help you to!

BRUSHING YOUR LASHES

Brush your lashes daily, we will provide you with a brush at your appointment. Be gentle when brushing through your lashes, this will ensure they are not tangled and help them stay that perfect shape.

When you’ve gone swimming/shower/beach etc ensure you give them a quick brush through so they do not stick together and make sure when you get home to cleanse your lashes properly as the chlorine in the water and salt water from the beach can break down the extension adhesive.

INFILLS

If your are wanting to maintain your beautiful lash set, its reccomened to book regular infills depending on your lash growth cycle.

Its important to remember that we are all different so some people might have to come for more regular infills than others.

I advise you to book in for a 2 week infill if you are a new client, from then when can see what your lash growth is like and ill recommend how often to come in for infills!

Keeping in mind our lashes will shed coming into the colder seasons and hotter seasons which means a few more infill appointments than you usually would do.

THE FISRT 24HRS

The first 24hrs-48hrs will be the most crucial as this is how long it will take for the chemicals to fully process the brow hairs.

Getting the brow hairs wet before the full 48hrs it could result in them not setting in place, losing shape and not getting the greatest outcome you had hoped for.

AVOID PRODCUTS THAT WILL DRY OUT YOUR BROWS

Avoid any products that may dry out your brow hairs, such as hair spray or brow gel.

Use a brow wax as this wont strip the hair of hydration.

MAINATING LAMINATION

Its important to remember to maintain your brows daily, using a brow wax such as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze. This will help maintain the sleep style and keep your brow hairs in place. This will also help your lamination last longer.

*keeping in mind a lamination is not a no maintenance but a low maintenance treatment.

OILS

coconut oil or castor oil will help keep your brow hairs hydrated and healthy. Alternatively you an use a hair treatment 20mins before having a shower.

Although this can cause the dye to fade quicker, we reccoment using if the brow hairs start to dry out as its important to prioritise the hair growth.
